SPEAKING AND PRESENTATIONS

I am available to speak at organizations, businesses, community groups and schools. I've enjoyed a lifetime of adventure, travel, entrepreneurship and creativity. I've worked at the highest levels with international clients in marketing and corporate communications, developing groundbreaking programs and counseling C-suite executives. Below are some of the topics I've prepared, but I can also tailor a talk to your specific needs. To contact me, please connect with me here

Waiting for the Sea Ice From a remote location along the shore of Hudson Bay, in Nunavut, Canada, I photographed polar bears up close during their annual migration to the seal-hunting grounds on the sea ice. Accompanied by Inuit guides, I saw and learned first-hand of the changes affecting these bears as a result of climate disruption. This presentation shows my photographs and talks about my experiences with these magnificent, at-risk animals.

Walking With Bears Get up close and personal with grizzly bears and polar bears, which I have photographed in remote locations in North America. Learn about their behavior and habitat, family life and the threats they face. I show photographs from the Canadian tundra, the Great Bear Rainforest and Alaska’s Cook Inlet of bears at rest, fighting, eating and going about their daily lives as I stood among them and observed.

Conservation Success Stories and the People Behind Them  From egrets almost driven to extinction by a fashion craze to bounty-hunting for wolves and mountain lions, I bring my photography and reporting skills to tell a story that is at once scary, heart-rending and uplifting. In this presentation, I talk about these episodes and the conservation success stories that followed. I also discuss the important role our public lands play in preserving habitat, and the history to protect our national parks.

Enjoying and Protecting Our Public Lands From the sweltering desert of Death Valley to the magnificent sunrise of Acadia, I have photographed many of America’s national parks and state lands. This show will take you to Grand Canyon in winter, 9,000 feet up the High Sierras and in touch with grizzly bears in Alaska. I talk about the history and importance of our national parks and public lands, as well as our urban parks and gardens.
